Golden fur glistened in the light reflecting off of newly fallen snow. Eyes of liquid gold scanned for signs of danger, and audits rose and fell with each new sound. There wasn't much for Shanzi to be aware of, not today. She hoped the river wasn't frozen over. Picking up speed, she bolted across the open land and skidded to a halt by the water. A delicate paw rose only to come hard on the clear ice that sheltered her precious water. A sigh escaped blond lips and she turned to eye the lands again. Nothing. Not a soul around for, probably, miles. Shanzi sat on top of the thick white that infested the lands and stared at it. Snow...just frozen water. She scooped up the fluffy white substance in a cold paw and brought it to her mouth. Large white canines closed around it and she shuddered, the cold snow melting into freezing water and sliding down her throat. "Mmm..." she sighed with a shaky voice. She stood and began pacing by the river, awating company of any kind to join her. For once, she didn't want to be alone...
