So, I was thinking of adding magical powers to Anarakhi, to go with the fantasy feel of the place and help enforce seeing yeon and mikashi as more or less supernatural beings amongst the tigers and lions.

However, I was wondering whether or not we should add magic to just mikashi and yeon, or make it possible for them to teach lions and tigers to use them. I also wondered if magic should be something which you are born with, a gift, or if it can be taught, or found.

I'd like to hear everybody's views, so please drop a comment on what you think about the matter of magic, and how it should and should not work.

There are other things I am thinking about which are related to the matter, such as souls and ghosts after a character dies - perhaps there can be an extra board for when certain characters die they are allowed to be sent there, and now and again they cross over into this world.

Or if there really should be a spirit or a God as the mikashi and yeoni believe.

Magic is always fun. And yes, I think you should only keep it to the new species, because they a fantasy race, so little things like powers shouldn't be given to a real race, such as lions and tigers. Oh, and I think it should be genetics. Some of the species can be born without it though, and the type of power they are born with(if they are born with it) can be influenced by the mesh of their parents' abilities.

And it'd be interesting if dead characters could occasionally cross over. =D As for the God thing, sure, why not. Someone had to make them and give them those abilities.

I think magic would be uber-pwnful. x3 But it shouldn't be common at all. Ummm I imagine it would be something a mikashi or yeon is born with, but I also have the idea that it should be 'dormant' until a certain period of time for most of them (meaning you'd have to save up kitty litter to 'activate' your power, y'know?). I guess some might have it at birth but again, it should be litter-based so not everyone's running around with some colorful power or another.

Sooouls would be coooool. x3 But again, I like it to be litter based so you don't have a million souls running around confusing da heck outta people. Maybe you can save up litter and Wulfeh can charge like... fifty litter per ghostly visit (thread) or something? So it means more when someone gets a visit from a ghost and they're not just like "Oh hey there's my dear Aunt what's-her-face's ghost. This is just like last week..."

I do like the idea of having to activate a power and having to pay to cross-over, but I think that it'd also be cool if there were like, say, three powers and one master for each, or sumthin', and that they are able to transfer part of their power into someone else...

Like, the masters are infertile, and when they die so does their power. So they are able to give part of their power to others, who can then reproduce and their kids are able to have powers. && only the master of a power can give a lion/tiger/etc. a power?

&& ghost visits would probably be mote around 500 KLP. xD should be quite rare.
and for God... should we have two different religions for yeon and mikashi, then ahve one true religion, which links the two together, ro sumthin?

Sure. *imagines an old fogey mikashi lumbering around* x3 Zythen would have so much fun poking fun at them...and then he get ZAPPED. So would the masters have been at the way beginning and are all dead now or are there masters in nearly every generation? It might be cool for someone to be able to "ascend" to master status but in doing so, they have to give up their ability to reproduce and they become almost a demi-god or something. I dunno. x3

As for religion, there probably was one true one like you said and then it branched out into Yeon and Mikashi variations. Like, they have their own versions of the stories and myths and some morons, potentially like Zy will be like "Ha what a bunch of cub stories---*gets zapped* Eeek I BELIEVE! I BELIEEEVE!!!" x3

Can't say much since everyone else have said what I wanted to say but... I agree with the ideas. Maybe though, instead of one God, there are actually maybe four or five so that one person doesn't have all of the religion say. It would also make the God belief more interesting if a group prays to this certain God and another prays to a different but they believe that their God is the only one yet there are like four (sorry if there is confusion)

anywho, proud of myself for writing more than I thought that I would here. Agree with magic stuff, and the spirits having to pay a lot of litter to join.

I find the magic idea perfect for only the new species as well. It will give Anarakhi a more fantasy feeling when roleplaying with magical felines. It does get a bit boring after a while roleplaying realist felines that follow by the laws of phyics and stuff. Adding a more 'Zing' to the felines will grab more members most likely and if people that don't like magic can make a lion or tiger. It goes great for members who like magical felines to ones that like regular felines.

And the ghost threads are a creative thing! -claps- Pricey of course since like everyone else said, don't wnat millions of ghosts floating around, getting confused and whatnot. I adore that idea because since you have the timeframe going, our cats will eventually die from old age(even though they can die in fights or get diseases lol). We don't want to forget our old cats that we started with, so that idea is great.

I do agree with the God idea, except, one God can't do enough. Like Jorn, maybe 4-5 gods, or even one for each species. -shrugs- XD

I like what everyone has said about the magic stuff

and having four or five gods, but what if since the Mikashi and the Yeon are supoosed to be futuristic of some sort, most of the stories were lost when they came back? And only a few of the cats remeber the stories, so they have to live with what survived and of course, the new ones that they adapt to after living here?

Mikashi are futuristic, and haven't evolved yet, but yeon are extinct and came forwards through time. ;]
I think that there should maybe be one spirit or god... or maybe just the earth itself was the creator, nature was the creator, and so she made creatures or summat. but all the species believe in male-dominance over females, so they think that the gods are unisex but they still call him a he?

I like the idea of something representing the magic which was found in the yeon/mikashi eras, but i'm not really fond of the idea of them carrying something, per se. Perhaps there was a certain type of air in their times, like a gas, which enables a few selected ones to be abe to do extra-ordinary things, but human's polluted the world and eliminated it. by the time they had died out it was able to come back?

because mikashi and yeon bring their original atmosphere with them to anarakhi, so lions and tigers can't get get powers because they're not used to the air... but perhaps a crossbreed could? like tiger and lion crossbreeds become mutants and are able to gain powers due to the new, toxic air? but it's not as strong here as it is in the other eras, because the cats couldnt bring much, it noyl jsut slipped in while they travelled through time.
