::history::
Salidji was raised by her mother alone, which forced her into a position to never knew her father. From her mind now, she had concluded that her parents had a rocky relationship, one that possibly ended violently. This could explain her mother's growls and snarls towards males instantly. Her blue mane stood tall in a protective warning before attacking ruthlessly and ending with an adrenaline high to tiredness.
As a cub, she would spend time pouncing on butterflies, while her mother watched her from above carefully with loving eyes as any mother would. Salidji never knew her mother's name for she was only a loving mother figure who forged the skills of hunting through play and took her on endless journey through the rainforest. From her own memory, she knew her mother to be slim and lithe to the point it seemed unhealthy to all except her cub, who saw only perfection of a mother. The yeoni never knew that her mother was ill and growing frale as the years passed with rushed lesson to teach her the basic ropes of survival.
Death wasn't new to Salidji, she had seen enough mature yeonesses' corpses lying on the floor with eaten away pieces. Their black eyes were glassy as they stare at her and her mother, but Salidji was always rushed away before making any harder obersavation of curiousity. Only once she was able to ask...why? Any other time her mother would hush her quickly. She then learn the barbaric nature of yeoni slaying their mothers.
"Will I do the same...to you?"
"Yes...possibly." Her mother reply before changing the subject to perk her daughter's ears up in happiness instead the depressed droops.
From then on, Salidji made a silent vow to never do that to her mother. She could never see why she would sink her own canines into the same yeoni who brought her life and love. The similar thought of that day had shakened her mother, but Salidji had always obliviously pushed those thoughts away with nuzzles and licks. Although she wasn't the reason why her mother passed, the tigers were.
During a rest near a lake, her mother nose was alert, while Salidji swam in the lake at the age of 4. With an order to dive in the water and wait their, the mother was left alone on the surface; her muscles were weak of sickness, but her heart swelled with protective motherhood. She knew she wouldn't live to long for her cub, but at least this death would be one worth dying for. Twin males, tigers, came along with raging territorial hormones. Their senses never led to an alluring pheromone of heat, but an intruder, a female, a yeoni.
Resurfacing after twenty minutes of swimming, Salidji was faced with a wounded yeoness. It's feature was distorted immensely to the point she nearly couldn't recognized the familiar saphirres orbs. Laying down wet next to her mother, she nuzzled the dying mother until her last breath were she learned her final lesson.
1.) Don't let anyone, male or female, tiger, yeoni, and others, attempt to control her for she have too much strength to push over.
Her mother went down strong without any whimpers of pleas, but growling snarls towards her competitors. With a long lick, Salidji heard her mother make her final exhale before walking off into the depths of the forest.
You may be strong alone, but one is greater in numbers.
