ic// As dark storm clouds rolled in above the Natikar Lake, careful paws inched forward on the dry earth. It was clear that rain hadn't fallen in a while, and the ground was rough and cracked. But the paws, they were soundless, not disturbing anything in the slightest manner. The paws were small, and belonged to a not-so-big, big cat. Rayha crept along the lake, tail flickering behind her lithe frame, and her tufted ears twitching occasionally. The tawny colored female held a fierce look in her slanted teal gems, and a smirk was on her features. The yeoness was clearly hunting and a small bird just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
The mighty huntress had cornered her prey.
That line was so cliché, yet so true. The unexpecting bird was completely oblivious to the huntress approaching. Rayha folded back her ears on her skull and continued stalking the flying creature. Her shoulders rocked in her shoulder sockets, and a throaty growl came from the feline. Then, in a blur of forest green fur, the yeoness attacked the smaller creature. The bird squawked loudly and took to the air in a clumsy manner. Nevertheless, Yeoni are made for this kind of hunting. The feline launched her body into the sky, and landed swiftly on her paws.
The bird was smashed in the feline's ivory jaws. A satisfying crunch signaled the end of the bird. Although it hadn't rained in a long while, she could survive just on the fluids of another animal for a long duration of time. She lied down with her kill between her paws. Her greenish white-furred belly touched the ground, and she began eating happily. The feline munched and was quite proud of herself, but remained a portion of her kill between her pads. Why? She did have a cub to feed.

When that 'crunch' noise signaled, Zakiya popped her head from between a few rather large blades of grass. Those small, green ears were folded back on her head, her green eyes open wide as she searched in the green sea for that blue flame. Of course, her mothers' flame was weak - dead. It didn't crackle and spit like the heads of other yeoni the cub had seen in her short life. It interested her slightly, but she never asked why her superior was different like that.
ooc. to be finished soon =)
