There was nothing but the quite trickle of a river and the distant hum of insects in the long grass. In the midst of darkness nothing stirred, and the world had fallen silent upon this eve. The Natikar lake ahead was sparkling with the broken reflection of the moon, and it's surface was as smooth as ice. Golden amber eyes watched, the creature breathing in the silence, it's dainty frame perched atop a stone.
The warm wind teased smooth copper locks with gentle touches as the feline outlooked the river, hungry eyes feeding upon the moon washed landscape. The waxing moon bathed him in it's silvery ribbons of dim light, and he took in what little warmth it had to offer. Lucid eyes fixated upon the river, fascinated by the slow moving waters, the glimmer of the moon.
His head raised, his lanky body shifting as he stepped quietly off of the stone. He felt the loose soil stiffen beneith his weight, and he moved forth, his movements graceful and as silent as the night. He moved to the edge of the channel, looming forward to look to his reflection. His lips pulled back, forming a sly grin as he lifted his gaze. Impressive, utterly impressive. He stepped into the crystalline river, immediately feeling the cold liquid swirl around his massive paws.
His white-tipped tail flicked and he looked to the broken pieces of the moon that floated beneath the water. He waded deeper, until he felt the soothing cold at his chest. The tiger lowered his muzzle to the surface and drank his fill, allowing his eyelids to flutter shut for a moment, allowing him to enjoy the feel of the cool liquid sliding down his pink tongue all the way to his throat.
His eyes opened, turning their focus one again to the shattered pieces of the moon within the water. His ears twisted back and he tilted his head curiously. A grin bloomed across his ebony lips. He moved deeper, feeling his paws lift from the bottom of the lake, free to paddle. He turned himself about suddenly, moving back toward the banks. Once he had lifted himself from the water, the wind came to greet her, though this time it was not welcomed. He shivered and paused in the swallows, shaking himself of the water that soaked his thick coppery-orange coat.
Kenai still held himself proudly, regally before swinging his head around to look back to the reflection of the silvery moon.

ic://The quiet dark soothe the giant beast that roamed the western Anarakahi, his ears straight up, white spots showing behind those audlis as they listen closely to any sudden sounds. His large pads pressed against the channels silt, prints left in the past of other big predators or prey. The soft silky sand seemed comfortable to Dhanesh's tastes, his toes wriggling to the point they weren't aching no more from recent, un rested travels.
His body swayed back and forth from the journey of no sleep, his big, green eyes blinking shut a couple of times during his midnight walk. Without the moon's bright rays, he would have been pasted out in his dreams, figments of imagination that would be only hopes of it coming true.
Large crania perked up high in the moist air, the tiger's ears picking up a sound of another living creature. Pressing his nose down to the ground, it looks like another tiger has stumbled across the channel's mouth to Natikar Lake. Dhanesh wanted to meet this wondering tiger just so he knows if he claimed this land. He didn't want to walk upon the stranger's land and get into a fight. Those he avoid unless he is threaten.
Coming into view of the beast in the water, the male hesitated before grunting lowly to catch his attention. Not a smart move in any tigers books, but Dhanesh just wanted to be answered.

Ah, very lonely indeed. Your tiger doesn't want to socialize, Lol! He just wants to claim some territory. xD

The adolescent had grown quite interested in watching the rippling shards of the reflected moon coasting across the surface of the water. Drops still dripped off of his slowly drying orange fur, giving him a drowned appearance. He chuckled to himself, commenting mentally on how much of a giant rat he looked like. He breathed in heavily, only to catch a few stray droplets into his nostrils, leading to a very big sneeze.
His front paws fell underneath his stomach, hind paws splayed out on either side, giving him a very comical look. His hazy eyes blinked as he allowed the affects of the sneeze to wear off, and Kenai pulled both of his ears back. What a sight he could be to wandering eyes! He almost felt as if there were a few of the tree dwellers chatting about him amongst the branches. He pushed himself back up into the sitting position, noting the flecks of dirt and leaves sticking to his wet pelt. Well, wouldn't that be quite itchy later?
Kenai rolled his eyes, looking up to the looming clouds. That was, until a grunt had intruded on the silence. The young male jumped up, rather cnofused, and scrambled backwards, eyes searching for the source of the sound. Once his eyes pinpointed on a larger male tiger, Kenai froze, muscles tensing in fear. This bigger male could cause quite a bit of damage if provoked. Kenai wasn't a fighter, and he would easily be torn to pieces.

The moon's rays reflected on the male's back, the shadows shading his massive muscle inside his stilts, his grunts stopping when the Kenai finally notice the brute. The young male, in Dhanesh's eyes, seem rather feared, but the larger tiger didn't see why. His nose wrinkled as he snorted out at the tiger, his body shifting towards the lake.
His paws sunk into the water, but only his hind legs stood out for that he didn't want to get completely wet like the adolescent. Black tipped ears perked at the male, hoping he would say something, except it would seem that he was to scared to even move. Dhanesh's tiara rose to his height, his body gestures featuring his kind dispostion of not challenging Kenai. Soon enough through the silence, he had finally spoken in his low tone, attepmting to not scare the boy off.
"I'm dubbed Dhanesh. Do not fear, if you are, for that I am not willing to challenge a youngin like yourself. I just came to this land to see if it was unoccupied, but seeing you here may change my mind of staying."
ooC:// Lol. Yeah. NOW to engange into a conversation!

He had never met a tiger this keen on introducing himself. Most were solitary by nature and would never speak to him. Rather, they'd chase him off. Not a word would be uttered, nothing. Just a growl or a roar, and his muscles would spring into action, sending him off from the other tiger's vision. Blinking his bright gold eyes, Kenai lowered his head, contemplating on what to say.
Swallowing thickly, Kenai sat back down on his rump, shoulders slumped as he studied this stranger. How was he supposed to answer that? He was at a loss of words. Clearing his throat, Kenai finally decided to speak.
"I'm... Kenai. I don't own this land, though." A gentle smile. "I'm just a wanderer." Shaking his pelt once more, the water droplets flew from it, leaving him a bit less wet than before.

ic://Dhanesh seem a bit confused at the young one's words. Not his land? Though this male was coming to take some land just for rest, seeing the other tiger adverted his mind, but know, it changes again. The large tiger smiled calmly to show him not to be afraid, if he was still, his envy gems blinking til he sat down on his rump.
Now what to do.
Can he just come and hangout in the unoccupied lands, willingly to share it with a stranger as of now? Maybe, being his kindself, he could leave the male alone and care about his business and go somewhere else. But, his aching legs were still weary. Giving a loud 'hmph', he cleared his thoat and moved his lips to speak.
"Now, Kenai, you leave me in a pickle. Should I chase you off since wanderers cannot be trusted or should I trust you and stay in the same lands just for a couple of nights or longer?"

The youngster focused his gaze on Dhanesh, blinking. Well. That was a good question to make him look like a fool. If he was as quick tempered as his brother.. maybe he'd snap like a twig. But the male's question wasn't really offensive at all. This was a twisted perception taking over. Then again... what was twisted perception? Was he just calling it a twisted perception because he was arrogant or.. hell no. He wasn't even making sense any more.
Noticing his head had dropped significantly, the male didn't hesitate to raise it. They were the same, no submitting or forcing submission needed. He inhaled through his aperture, and decided to finally speak to the striped menace, after a short-but-long time of contemplation.
"Maybe I will just rip your throat out in your sleep."
It was funny to say this a much larger male lion who hadn't really threatened him in anyway. Perhaps a pale part of Kenai felt guilty for this... betrayal, if you will, but it wasn't evident. The orange-hued male blinked dully and surveyed the area with dislike. It was boring now. No small game. He liked small game. So fun to toy with. Propping himself on all fours, he stretched his muscles. "Stay or leave, do as you wish. It isn't claimed territory, so I hold no jurisdiction over it. Your free to spend a as many nights as you'd like. Or would you prefer wearing out your travel-weary muscles further."
A snide little smirk formed on his muzzle and Kenai snorted. "I wouldn't see the point in chasing me off. You are obviously much larger than I. I can't hurt you, even in your slumber."

The male's gems watched the smaller one who finally spoke, fear overwhemling him. He didn't quite catch the right tone for Kenai's words, the questions of trusting the male flooding his mind. His muscles tensed up as he uneasliy moved a few inches farther from the tiger. His paws weren't in the water's clutches anymore for now they dug into the soil of the shore, nails retraching in and out for any sudden attacks.
Of course, Dhanesh was unaware of his games til he spoke up again, muscles relaxing as he sighed in relief. "For a second, I thought you were goiong to attack me," he chuckled nervously, a beam of white daggers smiling at the other feline. "Thanks though. Many others would have sent me off or make a scene. Maybe even fight. I avoid thoses as much as possible. I am not what I use to be." He could tell, he already trusted the male for telling his weakness.
He quickly ran pass Kenai, his paws splashing at the small fish that swam by, his fur getting drenched up to his neck. By then, he was up to shoulder depth, envy gems softly peering up at the moon. Its reflection now was now in the middle of the lake, representing the night as gone faster than usual. And so did his hunger. He snapped down into the water for the fish, but being unskilled in fishing, he grabbed nothing in his jaws. he attempted a few more times till he had to go under, emerging after a couple of seconds passed. Still, nothing in his mouth. "Damn," he cursed under his breath, the water reaching up to his mid legs as he moved out of the lake.
